Question: How should i proceed with this video game deal?

Hi, I have a simple problem I was hoping someone could suggest on how I should proceed with the manner. My buddy and I purchased a large quantity of video games off kijiji (600+) for $2100. The seller sent us a list of the games beforehand which actually had around 900 on the list. So because of this we decided to purchase them off him. When we went to pick them up we found they were all in large crates. Each game had a case for the disc and a case for the manual and such (this used to be an old video store). Since there were so many we just bagged them all up and decided to do the count at my place. Now we have finished it and it turns out many of the games that were on the list are no where to be found. Sure we got some games we did not expect, but they are not as good as the ones missing. The deal would have been better if we got the ones on the list. All the games have boxes and such, but many do not work, along with some of the better games missing. since we paid him such a large amount, I have emailed him back and asked him to look for at least some of the missing games. That was 2 days ago, and I have received no email back. I just emailed him again, and do have his number. The deal is still decent, but it would be that much better with the 100 or so that are missing off his list. What are my options here? I would easily take the games, but want something back for our loss. what should my recourse be with this situation? |
