Question: What do you think about renting video games from gamefly?

I have a PSP and PS3 and live in a small New York apartment. I don't want to buy anymore games and would like to get rid of most of the ones I have. I've been looking into Gamefly and they seem pretty good and they just started offering a game trade- in program where the credits for your traded- in games go to offset the cost of your membership. I think this sounds awesome. Does anyone here use them? What do you think? I was digging around on their web site and found that they not only rent PSP games but also PSP movies which is something I just would never buy but would totally rent. I don't think anyone else does that so that's cool. They've also got free music tracks every month (again, I'm thinking of my PSP) so that seems like a pretty sweet deal too. What do you think? I'm thinking about signing up on the two games at a time plan.

I think they are a pretty cool service. I hope to try them out one day. I think they have alot of games that I could rent since I am getting tired of just owning games for a console. I plan on getting the Xbox 360 someday. I want to own it and just go with gamefly. If I want to rent movies, then netflix is who I will go with. I think you try them out. They sound genuine in what they do. The plans they have are fair in price and pretty decent. I say go for it if you can afford it.

I think its pretty cheap, and its a good renting service. Cause most of the times you buy a game for 60 dollars and after a month you never touch it again. With gamefly you save that money but you can still play it. and if you "lose " a game they won't charge

Its a great way to go, you can play a lot of games, get rid of em and never worry about depreciation like you get when you buy games.

I know how the clutter can be from gaming devices.. .We moved recently.. .the house we moved too is actually bigger than the one we had before but it has less built in storage space (like closet cabinets and what not). So we dont have a nice closet in our living room to store all of our controllers and games... .Our house looks bad with the clutter.. .alot of it still in cardboard boxes! IF i had to do everythign all over agian..i would start by buying not rebuying stuff i had as a child. .like the snes or genesis.. .when most those games we can get on a new system anyway..another thing i would do is buy a little bin or basket for each system and when they are not hooked up keep it all neat in there.. .Im probally gonna do that one still.. We have never rented a game...always just bought it...didnt matter what it was. .if we played it a few times or just once.. .we still have em all too!!! and with most people knowing my husband is a "collector " when they want to get rid of an old system they give it too him and they give him all accessories and games they had.. .some times he has to pay like $20 for it but usually its just given too him...i cant even get him to toss out hte broken ones! "we might need that for parts "...I love netflix and i want ot join game fly.. .the psp stuff does sound awesome.. .that way you dont have the clutter of those akward sized cases around!!!
